Dashi is a fish stock which is used extensively throughout Japanese cooking. To make home-made dashi you would use a combination of kombu, bonito flakes and water. This prepared version (dashi-no-moto) is an instant granulated stock, which will save some time in the kitchen.
One teaspoon (about 4g) will make 600ml of stock.
Ingredients: Sugar, bonito flavour seasoning, sodium chloride, sugar (glucose), flavoured raw materials (octopus powder, soba and mushroom powder).
Stick it in the cupboard, seal package tightly after opening.
