A thick honey and soy bean based oriental barbecue sauce. The rich tangy sweet taste gives new dimensions to meat, especially chicken wings! Can be used as a marinade or brush on sauce. Also ideal as a stir fry sauce.
Brine four chicken drumsticks, drain. Use a sharp knife to slash or prick the chicken, this will ensure better absorption of the marinade. Mix half a teaspoon garlic powder, 3 tablespoons char siu sauce and one teaspoon lime juice. Marinade the chicken for 2 hours. Roast in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30-40 min. Brush with the remaining marinade, roast until golden.
